How to Make Apple Oreos

Step One: Melt the Candy

Melt the red candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl according to the package directions. Stir until smooth and creamy.

Step Two: Add the Stem

Gently stick half a pretzel stick into the cream center of each Oreo. It should look like a cute little apple stem poking out the top. Be gentle—Oreos are known for their dramatic flake-outs.

Step Three: Dip the Cookies

Place each Oreo on a fork and spoon the melted red candy over the top until completely covered. Lightly tap the fork on the bowl’s edge to smooth the coating and let any extra drip off. Transfer to parchment paper.

Step Four: Decorate With Leaves

While the candy is still soft, press a green M&M near the pretzel stem. You now have an adorable little apple!

Step Five: Let Them Set

Let the coated Oreos sit at room temperature until the candy shell hardens. That’s it. You’re done. Cute snack magic complete.

Tips and Tricks

  • Candy getting too thick? Add ½ teaspoon of coconut oil to thin it.
  • Want more color options? Use green or yellow melts and make a full apple variety pack.
  • Red sanding sugar adds sparkle if you want extra flair before the coating sets.

A: These Apple Oreos will stay fresh for up to 5 days in an airtight container at room temp. That is, if they last that long.

Q: Do I need to refrigerate them?
