This Christmas Sugar Cookie Pizza is a whole holiday dessert tray baked into one cute cookie — slice it up, decorate each wedge, and suddenly you’ve got Rudolphs, Santa hats, Christmas trees, and the happiest little snowmen ever. It’s festive chaos in the BEST possible way.
I pressed store-bought sugar cookie dough into a round pan, baked it into one big “cookie crust,” sliced it into eight wedges, and gave each slice its own holiday makeover. And honestly? I might never go back to baking individual cookies again. This project is fast, colorful, kid-friendly, and absolutely irresistible.

How to Make Christmas Sugar Cookie Pizza
One dough, eight slices, unlimited holiday sparkle. Here’s how to make it magic!
🥄 Kitchen Tools You’ll Need
A quick peek at the goodies that make cookie-crafting even more fun.
- 9-inch round pan
- Parchment paper (optional)
- Sharp knife
- Piping bags or zip-top bags
- Small bowls for sprinkles and candies
- open star Wilton 21

Ingredients You’ll Need
Nothing fancy, just the simple things that come together to make a super cute cookie pizza.
- 1 tube sugar cookie dough – I used Pillsbury Sugar Cookie Dough from the fridge section
- White, red, and green icing
- Holiday sprinkles (I used black confetti quins, silver and gold stars, red, white and green pearls)
- Candy eyes
- Red and brown M&M’s
- Orange candy melt carrot for snowman nose (made using this carrot fondant mold)
- Pretzel twists
Step-by-Step Instructions
This comes together fast, and the decorating is the fun part!

Step 1: Shape Your Cookie “Crust”
Slice the sugar cookie dough into rounds.
Press them into your 9-inch pan until the bottom is fully covered.
Bake following the package directions until lightly golden.
Cool completely before slicing (warm cookie pizza = crumble city).

Step 2: Slice Into 8 Wedges
Use a sharp knife to cut the cookie like a pizza.
Each wedge becomes one adorable Christmas “slice character.”
Step 3: Decorate Each Slice
Time to give your cookie slices some personality! Choose from the four designs below — or mix them all like I did.
Step Four: Final Touch
Once all your Rudolph, Santa hat, Christmas tree, and snowman slices are decorated, carefully pipe a simple white icing border all the way around the outer edge of the big cookie to frame the whole design.
IMPORTANT: When making your designs, be sure to leave enough room for the last step, which is adding a white border around the outer edge of the whole cookie. I left enough room for one ‘row’ of ‘stars’

🦌 Rudolph Cookie Slices
Say hello to the cutest little red noses you’ve ever seen.
- Leave the slice bare.
- Add two pretzel twists for antlers in the top 1/3 of the slice
- Place two candy eyes around the middle of the slice
- On the tip of each reindeer slice, add a brown M&M nose on one, and a red one on the other

🎅 Santa Hat Cookie Slices
Bold, bright, and instantly festive.
• Using a star tip, pipe red icing over the entire slice, leaving room for the white brim and pompom, and the final touch cookie border
• Using a star top, pipe a fluffy white brim across the bottom. I made mine one row tall, and left room for the final border
• Add a white pom-pom at the tip.
• Done!

🎄 Christmas Tree Cookie Slices
These slices basically ARE holiday spirit.
• Using a star tip, fill the entire slice with green icing. Leave room for the final border.
• Press on a few sprinkle ornaments. I used pearls.
• Add a star sprinkle to the top
• Gold shimmer optional (but fabulous).

⛄ Snowman Cookie Slices
Frosty little cookie friends with big personalities.
- Evenly spread a layer of white icing over the slice.
- Using black confetti quins, add two dots for the eyes and 5 or so for the mouth
- Add an orange chocolate carrot nose
- Done!
Don’t forget to pipe the outer border! And you are done!

Instructions
1. Shape Your Cookie “Crust”
- Preheat oven according to the sugar cookie dough package.
- Slice the dough into small rounds.
- Press the rounds into a 9-inch pan until the entire bottom is fully covered.
- Bake until lightly golden around the edges and set in the center.
- Cool completely before cutting (a warm cookie pizza will crumble).
2. Slice Into 8 Wedges
- Use a sharp knife to cut the cookie into 8 even slices, just like a pizza.
- Set the slices aside for decorating.
3. Decorate Each Slice (Choose from the Designs Below)
Rudolph Cookie Slices
- Leave the slice bare — no icing needed.
- Add two pretzel twists near the top third for antlers.
- Place two candy eyes in the center area.
- Add a nose at the tip: a brown M&M for one slice and a red M&M for the other.
Santa Hat Cookie Slices
- Using a Wilton 21 open star tip, pipe red icing over most of the slice, leaving room for the white brim, the pom-pom, and the final outer border.
- Using the same star tip, pipe a fluffy white brim along the bottom edge.
- Pipe a white icing pom-pom at the tip of the hat.
Christmas Tree Cookie Slices
- Using a Wilton 21 star tip, fill the slice with green icing, leaving room for the final border.
- Add sprinkle ornaments (pearls work beautifully)
- .Place a gold or silver star sprinkle at the tip of the tree.
- Optional: brush with a little shimmer dust.
Snowman Cookie Slices
- Spread an even layer of white icing over the slice.
- Use black confetti quins for the eyes and mouth.
- Add an orange candy melt carrot nose (made with your carrot mold).
4. Final Touch: Add the Border
- After all slices are decorated, carefully pipe a simple white icing border around the outer edge of the entire cookie.
- Leave at least one “row” of space around each slice for this border.
Notes
- Pretzel twists make perfect antlers — break them gently for the best shape.
- Wilton 21 is the best match for the star-tip piping you used.
- Let the decorated slices set before moving them to a platter.
Cooking time will vary depending on your oven.
