- Oreo cookies
- Mini Oreo cookies
- White melting chocolate – make sure to get BRIGHT white only!
- Pink melting chocolate
- Mini marshmallows
Step-by-Step Instructions
This easy Easter recipe comes together in a few fun, hands-on steps. Let’s build some bunny butts!
Step One: Melt the White Chocolate
- Melt the white chocolate in the microwave according to the package directions, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

Step Two: Dip the Mini Oreos
- Coat the mini Oreos in melted white chocolate.
- Place them on a piece of parchment paper to set.

Step Three: Dip the Regular Oreos
- Dip the full-sized Oreos in the remaining white chocolate.
- Place on parchment paper, and while the coating is still soft, press a mini marshmallow onto the center top of each Oreo (this will be the bunny tail!).

Step Four: Add the Bunny Feet
- Once the chocolate has hardened, melt the pink melting chocolate and transfer it to a piping bag.
- Pipe one larger dot/circle at the top of each mini Oreo, then three smaller dots/circles below it to create the footpad and toes.

Step Five: Assemble the Bunny Butts
- After the pink chocolate hardens, reheat a little of the white or pink chocolate and transfer it to a clean piping bag.
- Pipe a small dot onto the bottom/underside of two decorated mini Oreos to act as glue and then attach them to the top of each large Oreo (on either side of the marshmallow tail).
- Let everything sit until fully set and hardened before serving.

Recipe Tips and Tricks
- If the chocolate starts to harden while you’re working, just pop it back in the microwave for a few seconds to loosen it up again.
- Want more colorful bunnies? Use pastel candy melts for the feet!
- Use tweezers or clean fingers to gently place the mini Oreos—things can get a little slippery with melted chocolate!

Recipe Variations, Additions, and Substitutions
- No pink melts? Swap for colored royal icing or even a little tinted white chocolate.
- Use double-stuffed Oreos if you like your treats extra thick and creamy.
- For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free sandwich cookies and make sure your melting chocolate is safe, too.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How should I store Bunny Butt Oreos?
Keep them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. Avoid direct sunlight or heat so the chocolate doesn’t melt.
Can I make these ahead of time?
Absolutely! They’re great for making the night before Easter and storing until you’re ready to serve or gift them.
Can I freeze Bunny Butt Oreos?
Technically yes, but the chocolate may develop a white coating (called bloom) after thawing, which can affect the appearance.
